My husband, Larry, comes home just as I am cutting the hair growing out of my bandage. I am mortified that he has come home when I told him I needed time to "think," and he is to go to his step-mother's house. The last two months on the full moon, he was coincidentally away on business, and now TONIGHT is this month's full moon. He can not be here! He has no idea what can happen.

Hair grows from my hands. My ears grow, long. My nose starts to grow into a wolf's muzzle. I open my jaw, open and shut, to stretch the newly grown muscles. I howl into the moonlight. I am the wolf and the night is mine.
