The school year is almost over, and I've been cramming for exams for a whole month. It's a beautiful Sunday, and I'm dy*ng to get outside, sunbathe, and get some fresh air. But I really need to study, so the only option is to combine business with pleasure and go outdoors.

I gather my books and things, put on my sunglasses, and h*t the road. I have a spot in mind on the outskirts of town. It's a remote field I've visited before, essentially my secret spot. It's quiet and peaceful, and most importantly, I can drive there.

The sun is shining, and the day promises to be beautiful. As I drive through the field, I notice mud that wasn't there last time. I ignore it and continue driving, but after just a few meters, I get stuck.

I roll down the window and look out. The tires are a l*ttle coated in mud, but at first glance, it doesn't look too bad. I try to reverse, but the wheel just spins, and the car sinks even deeper into the mud.

— What the hell is going on?

I try to move back and forth a bit, but the car is c*mpletely stuck.

I get out and inspect the car. It doesn't seem to be that stuck. I take out my phone, open Google, and start searching for towing services. I find a company near me and c*ll.

The man answers, and I explain the situation. He says he can be there in about half an hour, but it will cost $150 to pull the car out.

— What the hell? $150 for a tow?!

I try to negotiate the price, but he won't budge. To hell with it and to hell with him. I'll pull the car out myself.

I hang up and start thinking about what to do next. First, I try to rock the car. I pump the pedal, shift the gears back and forth, but I only end up digging myself deeper. I need a new plan.

I start searching the car for anything that might help.

I light a cigarette. And while I'm smoking, another idea occurs to me.

What if I put some skid plates under the tires to improve traction?

The skid plates are in place, and I get back in the car. At first, I try driving slowly, but the car just won't move.

I'm so irritated.

My study plan has failed, and I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere. In desperation, I slam on the g*s pedal and start yelling and cursing. I rev it up as hard as I can, but the car won't move—the wheels just spin endlessly.

I'm starting to have a nervous breakdown. I slam on the g*s pedal again and again, revving it up, yelling and cursing. It takes me a few minutes to finally calm down.

Damn this mud!

I realize I won't be able to get the car out on my own, so I c*ll the towing company again. This time they say they'll be here in about an hour.

Well, at least I can study a l*ttle while I wait. :)
