The heavy oak door of the Headmistress’s study clicked shut with ominous finality. Inside, the air was thick with tension. Sascha Cornwallis stood stiffly beside the desk, her hands clasped tightly behind her back. Her face was flushed, and she shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot. The vivid red stripes across her bare bottom still b*rned fiercely beneath her lowered skirt — a painful reminder of the severe caning she had just received.

Beside her stood her loyal best friend and partner-in-crime, Pandora De Montfort. Though her heart was hammering, Pandora kept her chin high, a defiant spark in her eyes.

Headmistress Mrs Sutherland regarded the two girls with cold disapproval.

“I will ask you one last time,” Mrs Sutherland said, her voice low and dangerous. “Where did you obtain the cigarettes?”

Silence.

Cornwallis pressed her lips together stubbornly. De Montfort did the same.

Mrs Sutherland’s eyes narrowed. “Very well. You have both chosen the hard way. Cornwallis has already discovered the cost of defiance. Now it is your turn, De Montfort.”

She rose slowly and pointed at the heavy oak desk. “Bend over. Skirt up. Knickers down. Now.”

De Montfort hesitated for only a second before obeying. She bent forward over the polished surface, reaching out to grip the far edge. Mrs Sutherland stepped behind her, lifted the girl’s pleated skirt, and yanked her white knickers down to her knees, fully exposing Pandora’s smooth, quivering bare bottom.

“Such a pretty bottom,” Mrs Sutherland murmured. “Such a shame it must be marked again so soon.”

She flexed the long, whippy cane between her fingers, making it swish menacingly through the air.

Thwack!

The first stroke landed with a sharp, explosive cr*ck right across the centre of De Montfort’s bare cheeks. She gasped sharply, her body jolting forward.

Two more strokes followed in quick succession, perfectly parallel, leaving vivid red tramlines blooming across her pale skin.

Mrs Sutherland continued without mercy. “Where did you get the cigarettes, De Montfort? I’m waiting.”

Silence.

Three harder strokes landed low across the undercurve, making De Montfort’s bottom bounce and jiggle. She cried out, rising onto her toes.

“Still nothing to say?” Mrs Sutherland asked coldly. “Very well.”

She laid on six more stinging strokes in quick succession, each one delivered with precise, wristy technique. The cane whipped down with frightening accuracy, painting fresh, b*rning weals across the already reddened flesh.

Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!

“Ahh! Oh G*d... Miss!” De Montfort gasped, her knuckles white as she gripped the desk. Her bottom was now a blazing pattern of criss-crossing red lines.

Mrs Sutherland paused, gently tapping the cane against De Montfort’s glowing cheeks. “I can keep this up all afternoon, girl. Tell me where you got them.”

De Montfort shook her head stubbornly, breathing hard. “I... I can’t, Miss.”

Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!

Three more vicious strokes landed, each one lower than the last, catching the sensitive undercurve and making De Montfort dance on her toes.

“You will learn obedience,” Mrs Sutherland said sternly. “One way or another.”

She delivered another dozen hard, deliberate strokes, spacing them carefully to cover every inch of De Montfort’s bare bottom. The cane rose and fell with relentless rhythm:

Thwack!... Thwack!... Thwack!... Thwack!...

Each impact produced a sharp cr*ck followed by a deep, b*rning sting that made De Montfort writhe and gasp. Her bottom grew progressively redder, the stripes overlapping into a dense lattice of throbbing weals.

“Still defiant?” Mrs Sutherland asked, her voice calm but icy. “Very well. Let’s make sure this lesson sinks in properly.”

She took a small step back and laid on another eight strokes with increased severity, focusing especially on the lower curves and tops of the thighs.

By now De Montfort was panting and whimpering, her legs trembling. “Ow! Miss... please... it really hurts!”

“Good,” Mrs Sutherland replied, flexing the cane again. “It’s supposed to. Perhaps next time you’ll think twice before breaking school rules and covering for your friends.”

She finished with six final, deliberately slow and hard strokes, each one accompanied by a crisp THWACK! that echoed through the study. De Montfort’s bottom was now a blazing, deeply marked canvas of bright red and purple stripes.

Mrs Sutherland eventually laid the cane aside. She studied her handiwork with satisfaction — two very sore, thoroughly striped bottoms.

“Perhaps now you will both think twice before breaking school rules,” she said calmly. “And next time I ask a question, I expect an answer. Dismissed.”

The two girls straightened up slowly, wincing as they pulled up their knickers over their blazing bottoms. Cornwallis and De Montfort exchanged a quick, p*ined glance — their rebellion had come at a very sore price.
