Maria finishes work and steps outside still dressed for the office — a smart business skirt, fitted blouse, and a pair of eye-catching pink high heel shoes that click confidently across the pavement. Waiting for her is her driving instructor, parked up and ready to give Maria her very first lesson.

She taps on his window, introduces herself, and immediately notices his eyes drop to her feet. He politely suggests that driving might be easier in something a l*ttle more sensible. Maria smiles — she hasn’t brought a spare pair, and besides, how hard can it be?

They swap seats and Maria settles into the driver’s position, smoothing her skirt and adjusting herself behind the wheel. Just before they begin, the instructor suddenly asks to use the toilet. Maria points back toward her office building, giving clear directions, and waits patiently... at first.

Minutes p*ss. Then more minutes. Maria starts to frown. This is her lesson time ticking away — and she’s paid for it. The patience wears thin, the heel of her shoe taps lightly against the floor, and eventually she decides she’s had enough.

Out comes her phone. A quick search: “How to drive.” Simple enough. Maria studies the screen, then looks down at the pedals below. Tentative presses follow — a stall, a sharp rev, a surprised laugh — and then another attempt.

The engine comes to life again. Her heel presses down more confidently this time, revving harder as she begins to understand the relationship between pedal and engine. Stalling turns into revving, revving turns into movement, and before long Maria is teaching herself the hard way.

What starts as frustration quickly becomes determination as she works the pedals, her high heels doing all the learning for her. This “lesson” may not have gone to plan — but Maria isn’t about to let that stop her from driving off anyway.
