Mia Hope had been preparing for her dive all morning, her nerves building with every passing second. She meticulously checked and double-checked her gear, triple-checking the release valves and tightening straps until they dug into her skin. Her determination to impress her instructor and the rest of the class was like a fire b*rning in her chest.
