Ruby is having the worst luck! She is putting away some pretty flowers she received as a gift, but keeps sticking her fingers on the thorns and one of the roses even breaks apart! She finally gives up on the chore and looks outside. She'd been wanting to relax and tan outdoors, but the weather has gotten cold and dreary suddenly. As she turns away in frustration, she stubs her toe on the dining room table. She vents her aggravation and decides to give up on the day by going to bed early. Just as she's dozing off, the doorbell rings. A mysterious person runs away, leaving a large box at her doorstep! It's addressed to her, so Ruby decides to bring it inside. Before she opens it, she makes a visit to the bathroom. While she's sitting on the toilet, the cursed package starts to vibrate on its own and finally tips over, with its top pointed towards Ruby! A worried Ruby becomes truly terrified when vines spring out of the box and pluck her right off the toilet! She struggles and screams, but the box slowly devours her headfirst!

Ruby suddenly jolts awake in her bed. Was it all a dream? She's in one piece and everything seems to be back to normal. She gets up and checks the bathroom where she'd just been eaten and finds no signs of an attack. It must have just been a strange nightmare, Ruby concludes! She goes to her window again to check on the weather, but notices the box is now on her back porch! Truly freaked out, Ruby tries to leave the house by escaping through the door and a different window, but everything is locked and the locks won't budge! Ruby decides to try running out the back door - hopefully quickly enough to avoid the box - and running out of the gate. She throws the door open and starts running for the gate, but the box is too quick for her and grabs her with a vine again! Ruby is helpless as the box pulls her in headfirst and devours her! As with last time, her slippers fly off in the struggle, revealing her helpless bare feet. The box also spits out the tattered dress Ruby had just been wearing!
