Episode Two of our New Vampire Series

Casey is skeptical of her new slayer partner Dixie and suspicious of how quickly she's worked her way into such a high profile mission. To allay her fears she uses an old Vampire hunter's trick and takes a compact mirror out of her pocket, looking over her shoulder with it at Dixie as they search the house that is suspected of being the Vampiress' lair. To her relief she sees Dixie's reflection perfectly and with her concerns alleviated they split up to search the house. Casey doesn't suspect the real reason that Dixie has been able to so easily evade suspicion among the slayers is that she is in possession of a human soul that she's taken from a previous victim. Left alone, Dixie evacuates the soul from her body and puts it back into it's magical container giving her full access once again to all of her Vampire abilities.

When Dixie catches up with Casey upstairs and informs her that there's no evidence of the ancient Vampire downstairs, Casey's instincts kick in and she feels like something is different. She casually checks her mirror again and this time is shocked to see no reflection. She whirls around with her stake at the ready but it's too late.
