Another go at a drive out in the Renault. This video comes in two parts; the attempt at getting the car to start, followed by the drive itself.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times I get the Renault running, it is always really difficult to start again. Particularly so on this occasion since I had left it for around a week and a half, hence the FORTY TWO attempts to get it to start!! I've never counted so I don't know if thats representative, but if you were to tell someone that your car takes this number of attempts to get it to start, I'm sure they would tell you to throw it away! Unless they're pedal pumping fans of course......

Which of course, you guys are. So, this time I took the car out in the daytime for a change as I had the opportunity. The first video is standard fayre for Me; the car is on the drive, I walk out to it wearing a bl*ck dress, barely bl*ck hold-up stockings and red strappy heels and try and start it. Four different tripod-mounted camera angles are used...

1)Looking down the side of the car with my right leg out of the door

2)Looking down at my legs and feet through the open drivers side door, again with my right leg out of the car

3)Looking under the drivers door at my right foot

4)Back to angle 2 but this time with both feet in the car as it finally chugs recalcitrantly into life

The second part of the video was recorded by my ever-faithful friend on the "bumpy road" and will be uploaded later today (Saturday 30th March)

Since the inception of my studio I have had numerous requests to film videos using an older car with a ch*ke. Well, on this front I have news! Hot off the press, I am acquiring a 1988 Skoda Estelle! I remember these cars from when I was first taught to drive, eastern European (I think they were Czech??) with quite a poor reputation, at least in England! And it has a ch*ke....I specifically checked!! It has been standing for a very long time and was laid up due to starting issues, in so much that it would start and then stall so it sounds absolutely typical for me and perfect for you guys! I have (another) friend of mine who is going to collect it on my behalf before having a go at getting it running. Of course, I'll be trying to get it to start for You guys too!
