Well, this was bound to happen at some point wasn't it?

I have previously mentioned that I had been told my starter motor sounded rough. Add to that me constantly trying to get the car to start (the videos You see here are only part of that story; there are a good few more occasions where I have sat in the driveway trying to get it started and HAVEN'T recorded proceedings!) and.....well, this was probably always going to happen.

What I DIDN'T anticipate was exactly WHEN and HOW this would happen!!

All but one of my videos have been recorded on the driveway at home. I know nothing about cars and couldn't make it stop running if I tried....or so I thought. So, as I have previously alluded to, I leave the car standing for a few days and bingo! The fault occurs and it won't start.

So this time my friend and I went for a drive in an attempt to do something different. Her husband knows full well what We do and She asked if there was anything we could do to stop it running. "Pull this pipe off" He answered, pointing to something amongst a mass of other stuff (or so it appeared to me)

So We did. We parked up in a country lane, me wearing a dress and nude stockings with a bl*e toe and back seam that match my shoes perfectly. We did as He suggested and voila! Car wouldn't start. Excellent...We set about recording Me doing what I do.

Only, what then happened was nine minutes into what I wanted to be a 10+ minute video, the starter suddenly sounded different. It very quickly went from turning over fine to not turning over at all. This is where we Both panicked a l*ttle but I still thought it was a flat battery until my friend's husband arrived and informed me that "I had cooked the starter". As a l*ttle bit of trivia, the replacement starter that has arrived today that my ever-patient friend's husband is going to fit for me....is broken. So I am still without a car at present. I might try and have a go at starting it again whilst its stricken on the drive, see what happens!
