In their 3rd video showdown for this store (5th overall), Hanz and Mahea take to the mats in an athletic, technical struggle for dominance. Having been bested in their last encounter a year before, Hanz is eager to try to get revenge while Mahea has her game face on and focused demeanor. The match starts quicker with Hanz this time pulling guard and fighting from the bottom at first, then struggling against Mahea for top position. Mahea fights off Hanz's attempts to get on top with a combination of technique as pure muscle. But she is eventually overwhelmed as she finds herself on her back and eventually squeezed to submission as Hanz takes her with a rear naked ch*ke. Still early in the fight Mahea is not deterred as they face off again. The second fall is much longer with a lot of reversals and near submissions. As the sweat starts to show it becomes less technical and more a contest of muscle and endurance. Almost halfway now through the fight Mahea gets trapped again as Hanz squeezes a second submission from Mahea using his strong legs! Down 2-0 with only half the time to go Mahea's competitive nature starts to show as she proclaims "OK, now I'm going to start tapping you!" They face off again with a mixture of technique and muscle to muscle stamina at play. Again there are many back and forth exchanges with each grappler gaining an advantage multiple times. The sweat start to glisten as this is the longest fall yet. Mahea is now fighting to at least avoid a shutout while Hanz is fully committed to beating his long time rival. As the closing minutes wind down one final submission is obtained, cementing Hanz's victory. Mahea is to admit defeat as she tells Hanz "you got stronger!" If you've followed this series you'll appreciate the interplay of competitiveness and respect between two long time competitors who have gone back and forth with wins and losses between them.
