It's been five months since the vacation since my life changed forever. I was wearing my bl*e and white seersucker dress, the same dress as three other women in the same boring dancehall at the Cozumel Resort. I was sick of exchanging polite conversation with strangers, we all ask the same questions: ‘where are you from,' ‘how long are you vacationing,' and 'what do you do?' The people at the resort were helplessly dull, all from different countries, but speaking the same pleasantries. I needed excitement! I craved romance. You must understand that grew up in Nebraska, graduated Community College, and was living in the suburbs of Lincoln. I was sick and tired of my listless life, and I would not let this Resort tell me to dance like a polite Nebraskan girl while Johnny bl*e eyes from Kentucky stares at my tits as we listen to pop music from thirty years ago. No. no, NO! I excused myself, told my step-sister that I was going to bed early, but instead, I decided to venture off, down the beach, and into the city! I'm a strong woman. I can take care of myself. I knew it was dangerous, but I begged for danger.

I met a man I knew would change my life forever. It was as if he could read my thoughts, he could hear when my heart race for him, his touch, his eyes locked in mine, I wanted him, and he knew it. He took me behind the b*r and led me to a beach with white sands. His lips met mine and I knew he was my soulmate, that moment told me that he was meant for me, I blacked out afterwards, and I woke up to a man asking me in broken English if I was okay, and four policia, looking for my attacker. I went back to my hotel with bandages from the hospital and tried to hide them from my step-sister, I could not bare her “I told you so,” and besides, I was sure there was some misunderstanding. I don't remember, but I know I am in love. I am here now, in my home, and the months have p*ssed. These months have been horrifying, I have seen people that I love my dear step-sister, my parents, my best friend is gone. My boyfriend is still alive, but I know he will be next.

I text him, “I will be coming, but it is not me. Please lock your doors, please hide"

I know when he it will be my fault. I don't remember but if I try to recall, I can remember frames of me them, slashing them with claws that don't belong to me, monstrous fangs that dig into their necks, their flesh, and my mouth waters, my thirst unquenched from their blo 0d I crave. I take those that I love, and those who get in my way, but if I have loved them, their blo 0d is especially sweet. I am a monster. You have to believe me now. I have tried to keep myself from and sometimes I succeed, but the only way to keep myself from is to end my life.
