Sweat, Smiles & Surprises

Sunlight spills across a polished floor, painting an eighties gym in pink, turquoise, and gold. Between colourful weights and oversized mirrors, a blonde athlete works through her routine, her ponytail bouncing with every effort.

At floor level, a bl*e-haired head watches through enormous goggles. An unusual training partner, certainly. Very l*ttle chance of him stealing the dumbbells.

A glance becomes a smile. A smile becomes an idea.

She steps away, then returns with a transparent cube, placing it beside him and connecting its hose to his mask. The workout has taken a creative turn. Nobody seems to have consulted him about the programme.

As she settles onto the cube, brown clouds gather behind its clear walls. Soon, his goggles grow hazy, and their l*ttle world becomes a conversation of raised eyebrows, shy smiles, and spectacularly expressive eyes.

Her face keeps attempting innocence. Her grin keeps ruining it.

Close-ups and shifting perspectives follow their reactions as the strange afternoon unfolds: her amusement, his astonishment, and those brief moments when they simply look at each other.

Eventually, the haze lifts. His eyes come back into view. She answers with a small, almost bashful smile.

Outside, the sunlight hasn’t moved very far.

Inside, the definition of a normal gym session may never recover.
