Here, a dangerous tradition called the "Triple Prison" survives despite the modern era. When a successful, independent-minded woman named Sun Ting challenges the village’s patriarchal status quo, she becomes the target of a community-wide vote to "correct" her behavior.

Refusing to back down, Sun Ting agrees to complete the ritual to protect her husband's family reputation, mistakenly believing she can simply "endure" the punishment. She doesn't realize the villagers have hired a professional specialist, Mr. Lei, with a mandate to ensure she is utterly broken and submissive by the end of the process.

The Complete Script of the Episode

The world is a vast and strange place, full of peculiar folk customs, much like the "Fisherman’s Blessing" mentioned in the previous episode. However, not all traditions have stood the test of time as reasonably as the "Fisherman’s Blessing." Some customs, while perhaps justifiable in the past, have become obsolete yet remain stubbornly practiced in conservative regions, often leading to dire consequences. Today’s story takes place in a clan-based village that is economically developed yet exceptionally traditional, governed by a rule known as the "Three-Fold Prison." The name of this village is best left unmentioned.

In a feudal society, the "Three-Fold Prison" might have had its rationale. This village was a clan-based community that placed high value on rules and morality. Men in the clan were expected to be family-oriented and responsible for their wives, fostering a population of honest and steadfast men. However, when some men married women deemed "unbecoming," they often felt powerless to manage them. Thus, the village established the "Three-Fold Prison." Every three years, the villagers would vote to select one woman they considered the most "unbecoming," subjecting her to one, two, or three levels of imprisonment based on the severity of her case, intended to serve as a warning and to help her mend her ways.

As the name implies, the Three-Fold Prison consists of three levels:

• The First Level (The Prison of Deterrence): Uses various forms of physical hardship to break the prisoner's arrogance.

• The Second Level (The Prison of Rectification): Uses moral indoctrination to correct her speech and behavior.

• The Third Level (The Prison of Submission): Uses periodic confinement and isolation to restrain her wayward heart.

In the past, this system maintained order and family harmony. However, in the 21st century, many women have their own pursuits and careers and are no longer content to merely serve their husbands. In this village, the "Three-Fold Prison" often falls upon exactly these kinds of women.

Today’s story concerns a woman named Sun Ting, who was voted by the villagers to undergo an "upgraded" version of this ordeal.

Mr. Lei sat on the sofa in his office, reviewing the files of his next subject. He was a professional trainer hired for specialized tasks, but this assignment was unusual: his client was not an individual, but an entire village. His subject was Sun Ting.

The file indicated that Sun Ting, thirty years old with a university degree in fashion design, had worked at a major clothing brand. Three years ago, she met and fell in love with her husband, marrying him last year. Her husband was the eldest grandson of the village’s main lineage, requiring him to manage the family business back home. To avoid separation, Sun Ting quit her job to join him.

Although called a "village," the area was adjacent to a city’s development zone. Given the clan’s generations of business success, the environment was well-developed. After moving there, her husband was often away on business. Not wanting to remain idle, Sun Ting used her professional skills to start a small business. Sensing a market trend, she opened a boutique specializing in adult fashion, designing her own clothes and managing an online store. Her husband was fully supportive. With her striking designs, quality materials, and personal livestreams, the store quickly became famous.

However, the village saw her actions as "unbecoming" and a stain on the family honor. They demanded she close the shop, with the elder women calling her "shameless." But Sun Ting, having seen the world, was unafraid. She retorted that this was her personal business, her husband consented, and the clan had no right to interfere.

The villagers were infuriated but helpless—until the three-year "Three-Fold Prison" vote. Over 90% voted to punish Sun Ting. Though a tried to defend her, it was to no avail. She was sentenced to the full Three-Fold Prison.

Sun Ting initially wanted to ignore it, but realizing that refusing meant being struck from the clan records—which would place her husband in a difficult position—she decided to comply. She figured it would be nothing more than some physical punishment and confinement. If enduring this meant the villagers would stop interfering in her life afterward, it would be worth it.

Unsure if the traditional punishment would work on such a strong-willed woman, the villagers pooled their money to hire Mr. Lei, a specialized trainer, with the sole requirement that Sun Ting be made to submit.

After reading the file, Mr. Lei found the village’s mindset archaic. However, since Sun Ting had agreed and he had accepted the commission, he would proceed as required. He wouldn't risk his reputation by going easy on her.

Soon, a woman in a bl*e shirt walked in with a cold, elegant demeanor.

Sun Ting: "Hello, you must be Mr. Lei?"

Lei: "Are you Sun Ting?"

Sun: "Yes, that's me."

He handed her a document stating that she agreed to the training/punishment, provided it caused no permanent physical d*mage. Seeing this, Sun Ting felt relieved. Irritated by the whole situation, she signed it immediately.

Sun: "Done. Let’s start. Is it the 'Prison of Deterrence' today? Whipping or kneeling? Let's go!"

Lei: "I hope you won't regret this."

Mr. Lei produced ropes. She was surprised but did not resist, assuming it would be standard corporal punishment. She did not know that the villagers had specifically hired a professional trainer to break her spirit, and the process would be far from traditional.

Soon, Mr. Lei bound her. Her upper body was tied behind her back, her legs were folded and bound together, and she was blindfolded and gagged with a horse-bit style device. Sun Ting assumed this was merely for the upcoming whipping.

However, when he pushed her down onto a coffee table and lifted her skirt, she felt a sense of dread. But she was too tightly bound to resist or even speak. Soon, she felt a metal h*ok attempting to enter her body. She struggled frantically, but it was in vain. Then, Mr. Lei connected the h*ok to a metal ring above her head, pulling her head up high.

Sun Ting was now trapped: kneeling, upper body pinned to the table, head pulled back by the h*ok. She was confused and terrified. Why is there something inside me? Why is my head being pulled? This is disrespectful! I can't let them do this!

But she realized she was entirely immobile. The nightmare had only just begun. This was not a regular punishment; it was a professional breaking process designed by those who feared independent women.

Ten minutes felt like ten centuries. When Mr. Lei finally moved her away from the table, it wasn't the end; it was the beginning of more humiliating t*rments. First, a nasal ring was inserted, leting her to crawl on her knees. Then, she was hung by a single leg, been to spread her legs while being stimulated.

Throughout the process, she wanted to beg for mercy, but the gag rendered her silent.
