I am an aspiring actress who left my boring life in Kentucky and moved to California to chase my dream of becoming a Hollywood star. While searching online for casting calls, I find an ad seeking a “new ebony actress” to play Renee, a woman who rises from poverty to become a powerful businesswoman, and I immediately think the role sounds just like me. When I arrive for the audition, the building is old, dark, and almost abandoned, which makes me uneasy, but I push those fears aside and wait to be called while quietly repeating to myself, “I am a star.” When my name is finally called, I walk into a dim audition room where two white men in suits sit silently watching while a sharply dressed blk woman leads the audition with a cold, stern voice. She hands me the script for the first time, and as I begin reading I slowly realize the character Renee is written as someone willing f*ck the white men in power which shocks and embarrasses me. I stop reading and tell the directors I cannot continue, but the female director tells me maybe I simply don’t have what it takes to become the next big thing. Humiliated and emotional, I leave the room and rush into the bathroom where I stare at myself under the harsh fluorescent lights, yelling at my reflection and degrading myself for failing, even slapping my face as punishment for not being strong enough to do what they wanted. Just as I prepare to leave the building, a secretary calls me back for another reading, so I fix myself and return to the room where the female director asks what I was doing in the bathroom. Ashamed, I admit that when I feel like I’ve failed I often talk harshly to myself and even slap myself, but instead of judging me she says she liked what she saw, which makes me realize they must have been watching me somehow. She then instructs me to remove my clothes as part of the audition process, and although I feel nervous and exposed under the silent stares of the two white m*le directors, I reluctantly obey because I believe this could be my chance to finally become a star. She then tells me since there is a s*x scene I would need to show them how well I can f*ck. I look around and notice there is no m*le talent. Then the director says the two white men here will f*ck me. I look at them smiling at me, bl*e eyes and smiling teeth. Seeing my anxiety, the female director tells me to look behind her at a screen displaying slowly spinning spirals and instructs me to focus on them because they will help me relax. As I watch the spirals turning, my fear disappears and my body relaxes, and by the time the video stops the female director smiles with excitement at the change she sees in me, because the nervous woman who walked into the audition room is gone and in her place stands Renee. I start to hear a demonic voice all around me speaking in weird tongues. One at a time the white men get on top of me putting a leash on me and f*cking me hard. My body fills with lust.
