Lo schiavo oggi ha un ruolo molto semplice: stare immobile e rendersi utile.

Siamo in tre: io e le mie due amiche Gea e Nina. Siamo rilassate, sorridenti, mentre chiacchieriamo tra noi dei fatti nostri, sedute comode. E sotto di noi... c’è lui, muto, a quattro zampe, usato come poggiapiedi umano.

All’inizio abbiamo tutte le calze: le sfiliamo lentamente, una dopo l’altra, e le lasciamo cadere. I nostri piedi nudi si appoggiano su di lui con naturalezza, mentre le nostre voci si intrecciano in risate leggere e confidenze.

Lo schiavo sente solo il peso delle nostre gambe, non può godere nel vedere le piante dei piedi, le dita che si muovono, le nostre espressioni divertite. Ci giochiamo su, ci sfidiamo:

«Chi riesce a separare meglio le dita? Chi le stringe di più?»

Siamo complici, leggere, un po’ maliziose. Lo schiavo è lì, silenzioso, parte del nostro momento di relax. Non si muove, non parla, è solo il nostro supporto.
