The final implement of punishment for my naughty nephew is by far the worst: a thick belt strap. The snap is remarkable as the leather makes contact with A’s bright red and tender backside over and over again. I do not stop the furious beating until I see tears stream down A’s cheeks – he sobs into the pillows as the p*in is overwhelming and the punishment becomes unbearable. Before I put down the strap I ensure my nephew promises to be on his best behaviour from now on... If he disobeys me I assure him he will be sobbing into his pillow every night.
