Deputies Brianne Blu and Rachel Adams are partners and on this particular day, Dep. Blu has not been heard from and is officially late for work. Dep. Adams is therefore tasked with finding her and seeing what is the matter or if it's anything other than over napping. Adams draws an unmarked squad car and heads to Blu's house. The logical starting place for a search.

Adams pulls the car into the driveway, gets out and heads toward the house. She only gets a few steps in that direction when a big guy sneaks up behind her, disarms her and marches her toward the barn instead. Once inside he quickly ties her to a post and gags her. She struggles a while, but is soon joined by her partner who has been taped up by the guy already. He had her stashed away in her house and that is why she was a no-show at work. Now both deputies are in peril, but is anyone going to come looking for them when Adams becomes overdue?

What is this guy up to anyway? Why is he doing this? As the deputies struggle against their bindings, he is no where to be seen. The back story is that he has stashed a bag of money in the barn from a robbery he did earlier in the week. He left it hidden there so that if he were caught, he wouldn't have it on him and would be released. He would then return sometime and pick it up. The problem is that he came back at a time when Dep. Blu was home instead of at work and she found him on her property. He tied her up with tape, but then her partner showed up before he could get the money.

He found the bag, but decides to take the partners hostage to insure his escape. They are untied enough to walk to the car Adams came in, and he puts them in the trunk. He slams the trunk lid down and pulls the car out onto the road, all to the shrieking and crying of the girls in back. He turns the police radio on and hears that there is a search for the missing deputies. He is quickly discovered and pulled over by his hostages' colleagues, and arrested. The girls are freed from the trunk.

It was a wild ride and a day that won't be soon forgotten.
