A long overdue return to trying to get my Ford to start!

I have of late managed to keep the Ford reasonably reliable, in the main by starting it at least every other day whether I've needed to use it or not. On occasions it still causes Me problems whilst I am out and about which usually amount to no more than three or four attempts to get it started.

This time was a l*ttle more protracted. When I have to go in to the office for work I will very often pop out for lunch; I have a l*ttle spot I park up at in the entrance to a field, a mile or so from the office. Its a nice relaxing place to enjoy my lunch and watch the world go by. It isn't remote by any means but quiet enough not to be bothered by others.

I've had problems starting my car there before so when it happened again I wasn't too concerned. The last time it happened the engine had started, chugged and stalled. I made three or four further attempts before it then started and off I went! This time however I realised I was going to have a harder time getting back to the office when by the fifth attempt at starting it the engine settled into that horrible and familiar ru-ru-ru-ru-ru-ru-ru with no sign of springing into life.

I had recently purchased some sheer bl*ck five-toe tights from Japan and happened to have them on that day. I therefore decided to make the best of the situation and record what was happening. I habitually have a tripod with Me for just such occasions so set it up outside the drivers door, mounted my mobile telephone on it and set it recording.

In the video you will see Me wearing my work attire for the day; a bl*ck dress with bl*e and yellow detailing as well as my bl*ck peep-toe heels with a flower pattern. I put these on for the video as they were in the car and I had hitherto been wearing my suede pumps which have featured on here a l*ttle too frequently. I was obviously preoccupied with the potential for being stranded as I managed to twist the heel strap on my right shoe!! I was intrigued enough by the five-toe tights to buy them but in truth they are not too comfortable, albeit they DO give my toes wriggle room. And disappointingly, despite walking back in the office with a c*mpletely different pair of shoes on my feet, NO ONE noticed I had them on! This is what you get for working in an all-female office where I am guessing there are NO foot fetishists to keep an eye on what I wear!

The video is around 6 minutes long before I turned the camera off, scared that I was going to d*mage another starter motor. Thereafter I periodically tried the engine every so often; after around 15 minutes it suddenly coughed and sprang into life. I made it back to the office around half an hour late.....no one noticed that either! Fortunately...
