Hospital doors glide open, reporter from Daily Bugle stumbles into first morning light, worrisome words materialize on notepad:

Reporter Ralph Axe tosses pen onto concrete bench, ponders recent events. Since launching investigation into female fight culture Ralph has witnessed profound emotional devastation along with more than one career-ending injury. Tonight emergency room doctors strive to reassemble the shattered face of one contender. Will she ever compete again? No one seems to care except for him. With empty hospital waiting room illuminated in background Ralph retrieves pen, begins composing article about ruthless organization which simply disposes of its star athletes when the women can no longer perform. Suddenly a large hand seizes Ralph’s notepad. “Enough scribbling, buddy.” deep baritone voice says matter-of-factly. “As far as anyone’s concerned that fight between Juliette March and Tanya Danielle never even happened. If either of their names ever show up in print you will return to this very hospital – lifeless on arrival.”
