The company I work for has had a new position open up, head of the HR firm. Our fortune 500 company has been a trail blazer for civil rights in the 50's and 60's, and now other companies look to us for example on all equality issues. The latest election has the shareholders worried about women's rights in specific, and my speech will rest all these concerns, to show them that our company, Clifford and Lowenstein, will always be on the right side of history.

The girls come back and interrupt my speech practice, yet again. They want to apologize, they hand me a bottle of water. I smile at them sweetly as I sip the water, soothing my tired throat, dry from so much practice. The girls explain that they miss me, and that the three of us are more than step-brother and sisters, we're "best friends." I smile and invite them to my speech, "you'll see what I've been working on the past six months." I see Riley and Jillian laser focused on my pants. The clock is ticking. I have to be on stage for the presentation in 20 minutes.
