This is PART 1 OF 4

Peko Lux is a big nerd. She's a nerd in a lot of different ways - she's socially awkward, she snorts when she laughs, she loves nerdy books, manga, anime - but perhaps most of all, she's a HUGE video game nerd. Her favorite game is DOTA2 (Defense of the Ancients), and she likes to play online with her boyfriend. She's playing a particularly poor game this afternoon, not keeping up with her teammates, which includes her boyfriend. Such a poor game, in fact, that her boyfriend - a bit of a nerd himself, to be certain - breaks up with her! Peko cries and snorts and repeats out loud how she can't believe he broke up with her! Over DOTA! The stress is just too much and Peko closes the laptop and rushes off to her bed to try and relax with a book.

Later that night, Peko's still distraught, though, and decides to c*ll her friend Kitsune. She'll know what to do about her boyfriend breaking up with her! Kitsune is at the club - surprisingly, because Kitsune is a social misfit herself. It's so late! And she hasn't been on Steam (a video game platform) in a long time! Kitsune tells Peko that she's used an online program that turns girls like them into popular, socially skilled girls who can get ALL the boys! Peko is skeptical, but according to Kitsune, it worked...enough to catch the attention of cool boys, like athletes and jocks. Peko tells Kitsune that she's going to give it a whirl, says goodbye in Japanese, and heads back to the couch.

The website is called "Three Minutes to a Hotter You and Peko pulls it up on her laptop. It specifically talks about mesmerizing the user into "being a better self", and oddly doesn't appear to cost any money. Peko fills out the online application, and it asks some strange questions, like her bra size. Once that's complete, she clicks the submit button to have the services rendered - immediately! The website loads a video, which plays a strange, noisy yet tuneful sound. Peko starts to feel tired and a bit strange. It's late, so that makes sense - but then Peko starts to feel more awake. She's had enough of that bizarre sound playing, and shuts the video off.
